Kwashly sits quietly on Booking.com, Agoda and Airbnb. It reads your trip length and destination, then shows what laundry actually costs there — so you stop paying for a second checked bag you never needed.

The extension experience

Three prompts, at the only three moments that matter

Kwashly never asks you to open another tab. It appears on the page you are already on — the stay, the baggage add-on, the itinerary — and disappears once you have decided.

Kwashly panel on a hotel booking page showing hotel laundry at $8 per kilo against pickup laundry at $3 per kilo

It reads the trip, not your data

A 7-night stay in Bangkok appears on Booking.com. Kwashly slides in with the per-kg rate at the hotel versus three vetted laundries within a 6-minute walk.

It prices the second bag

On the airline baggage step, the 23 kg add-on is compared with a mid-trip wash. Same clothes, €47 less, and you carry less through the terminal.

Everything the extension spots while you book lands in your trip plan: destinations, laundry budget, pickup windows and the credit you have built up along the way.

Trip laundry planner

A laundry plan per itinerary, not per panic

Save a destination and Kwashly works backwards from your dates: how many wash cycles a 19-day trip needs, what that costs in each city, and which day to hand the bag over so nothing is still damp at check-out.

  • Saved destinations with per-kilo price history
  • Wash-cycle maths for the exact trip length
  • Packing list that shrinks as laundry is scheduled

Partner laundry map

Every partner vetted, priced and walking-distance ranked

2,340 laundries that agreed to three things: the same per-kilo price they charge locals, a declared turnaround, and a re-verification visit every 30 days. Hotel laundry stays on the map too — with the date we last checked its price list.

  • Walking time from your exact address, not the city centre
  • Wash, dry, fold, ironing and delicates priced separately
  • Accessible list view for every map pin

Pre-booked pickup slots

Book the pickup before you have even packed

Reserve a window against your itinerary — typically the morning after arrival and the day before departure. Partners confirm within 30 minutes, the hotel desk or host gets the handover note, and you can move the slot free of charge up to two hours before.

  • 24h, 48h and 8h express tiers where partners offer them
  • Turnaround Guarantee on Plus: late means free, up to €40

Inside the planner

Small features, mostly invisible, all aimed at one bag less

The whole product optimises for one decision: is the second checked bag worth it, or is a mid-trip wash cheaper, lighter and faster? Usually it is the wash.

Trip-length maths

Tell it 19 days and two carry-ons; it returns the number of washes, the cost per city and the day to hand the bag over.

Baggage-fee comparison

Forty airlines, current add-on prices. A 23 kg second bag versus a mid-trip wash, side by side, before you pay.

Walking-distance ranking

Distances are measured from your actual address — hotel, hostel or apartment — not the city centre.

Price-drop alerts

Watch a destination and get a nudge when a partner cuts its per-kilo rate or opens express slots.

Receipts that survive expenses

Per-trip grouping, VAT broken out, CSV and Expensify export. Ten-year invoice retention, as Portuguese law requires.

Turnaround Guarantee

On Plus, a late 24-hour order makes the wash free up to €40 — credited the same day, no claim form.

Pricing

Free does the comparing. Plus does the guaranteeing.

No markup on any partner price, on any plan. Cancel from the account screen in two clicks.

How we make money

Four revenue lines, published on purpose

A laundry finder that quietly took a cut of your per-kilo price would be a worse product and a shorter business. Here is the whole model, with last quarter's split.

Laundry commission Partners pay us 12% of a completed order. Your per-kilo price is the same one a local walking in off the street pays. 61% of revenue
Hotel & OTA affiliate If you book a stay through a link in the planner, the property or OTA pays us a referral fee. Never a markup on you. 14% of revenue
Baggage-fee comparison Airline and baggage-insurance partners pay affiliate commission on the comparison links we show. 9% of revenue
Plus & Teams plans Subscriptions fund the Turnaround Guarantee pot, partner re-verification visits and support staffing. 16% of revenue

Affiliate and commission relationships are disclosed in the Terms of Service and never change the price you are shown. Q2 2026 figures, unaudited.

People who stopped packing for the whole trip

Six weeks through Southeast Asia with a 38-litre bag. Kwashly told me a wash in Chiang Mai costs less than the airline wanted for one extra kilo, and it booked the pickup while I was still on the booking page.

We move eight engineers around Latin America. The pooled wallet and one monthly invoice killed an entire expense-report category. The per-traveller caps stopped the arguments.

The hotel wanted €9 a kilo. The laundry four minutes away wanted €3.10 and returned it folded the next morning. I have not paid a hotel laundry bill since March.

Who is behind this

Fourteen people who got tired of paying to fly dirty clothes home

Kwashly started in a Lisbon laundromat in 2024, after a €75 second-bag fee that a €9 wash would have solved. We now vet partners in person in 38 cities and publish exactly how the money flows.

Vetted in person

A partner joins only after an on-site visit: hygiene standard, machine count, insurance and a declared turnaround they have to hit.

Local price, always

Charging Kwashly travellers more than walk-in customers is grounds for delisting. We test it with mystery drop-offs.

Fewer kilos in the air

Every second bag avoided is roughly 18 kg that does not fly. Last year that was 2,180 tonnes of luggage left at home.

Questions people actually ask

Frequently asked questions

What exactly does the Kwashly extension do while I book?

When you open a stay on Booking.com, Agoda, Airbnb, Expedia or Hotels.com, Kwashly reads the destination and your check-in and check-out dates from the page. It works out the trip length, then shows what laundry costs nearby: the property’s own laundry rate where it is published, and the cheapest vetted pickup laundry within walking distance. On airline pages with baggage add-ons it compares the second-bag fee against a mid-trip wash so you can see which is cheaper before you pay.

Do you read my booking details or payment information?

No. The extension reads three things from a supported booking page: the destination locality, the check-in and check-out dates, and the baggage price when one is displayed. Nothing else is collected, and card details, guest names and login sessions never leave your browser. The full permission-by-permission breakdown is published in our extension privacy notice.

How accurate are the per-kg prices?

Partner prices are contractual: partners must charge Kwashly travellers the same per-kg rate they charge walk-in customers, and we re-verify every listed price at least every 30 days. Hotel laundry rates are taken from published price lists and are marked with the date we last checked. Final cost still depends on the weight your partner records at pickup, so we show an estimate range rather than a single number.

What happens if my laundry comes back late?

Plus subscribers get the Turnaround Guarantee: if a 24-hour order is returned late, the wash is free up to €40 and the credit lands in your wallet the same day. On the free plan a late order is handled as a service failure under our refunds policy, which means a full refund of the Kwashly commission and help getting a resolution from the partner.

Can I book laundry before I arrive?

Yes. Once a trip is saved, you can reserve pickup slots against your itinerary — typically the morning after arrival and the day before departure. Partners confirm within 30 minutes, and you can move a slot free of charge up to two hours before pickup.

Is the loyalty wallet usable in other cities?

That is the point of it. Credit earned on a wash in Bangkok can be spent in Lisbon or Mexico City with any partner in the network. Credit is non-cash, valid for 24 months, and tied to your account rather than to a city or a partner.

How does Kwashly make money?

Four ways, and we would rather say so plainly: a 12% commission from the laundry partner on completed bookings, affiliate revenue when you book a stay through a hotel or OTA link, affiliate revenue on baggage-fee comparison links, and the Plus and Teams subscriptions. Travellers never pay a markup on the partner’s per-kg price.

Which browsers and countries are supported?

Chrome, Edge, Brave, Firefox and Safari 17+. The partner network currently covers 38 cities across 11 countries, and the baggage comparison works on 40 airlines worldwide. If your city is not covered yet, the extension still shows hotel laundry pricing and lets you vote for the city to be added next.

Still unsure? Ask us directly — a person replies, usually the same day.

Start with the next trip

One bag. Every trip.

Install the extension, book your next stay as usual, and let Kwashly tell you what laundry costs before the airline tells you what a second bag costs.
